Absence of Corners Gallery Artist Reception Postponed

The artist reception with Bill Ward on October 26 at the Annapolis Collection Gallery in Maryland is being postponed due to illness. Ward recently suffered a perforated diverticulitis and underwent surgery in California. The procedure was successful, and Ward is expected to make a full recovery over the next several weeks.
“I am truly sorry that I have to postpone the Absence of Corners gallery reception,” said Ward. “The feedback I have received from everyone about this project has been astounding, and I was so looking forward to this event. I want to thank the Annapolis Collection Gallery for everything they are doing. I am honored that they are exhibiting my art, and I hope to get there to celebrate this collection with you all very soon.”
The gallery and Bill Ward have agreed to find another date in the future which will allow him time for a complete recovery.

Hi Everybody.
It’s Bill here. First off, I want to thank you all for the support you’ve given me throughout the years. I love to play– whether it’s playing drums in Black Sabbath, making music with my own band or working with other musicians, period. Being able to do what I love for my whole life, pretty much, has been an honour and privilege.
When I started playing in Sabbath, there was an energy of truth about us. We believed in what we were saying, the music we were making and the lives we were living. As time has moved on, I’ve nurtured and tried to save a lot of what I learnt playing in Sabbath. During the more recent years at the Ozzfest concerts, I’ve found myself immersed in the musical rewards of playing in such a unique and devastatingly, powerfully effective Metal band. Sabbath have been, and are, my greatest teachers, and I am forever grateful for the musical journey so far.
Today, I love what’s happening in music. I’ve been given the rare opportunity to play bands I like – Classic and newer Metal – on our Rock 50 radio show. These bands energize me.
I am humbled to know many of you. Music lives and brings and maintains life. Music has always brought me through.

I am so sorry to hear that you had to have surgery. I wish you all the best for a speedy recovery, and that you will be able to reschedule a new date for your awesome project very soon. Bill! Just read of your illness, I’m VERY grateful you already had your surgery and will pull through just fine I’m sure – But have you in my prayers regardless. There’s SO much to look forward to! VERY best to you and your family as you recover.

I love you dearly, Bill. Please take better care of yourself. I cried when I saw “13” on the shelf in my local record store. I cried even harder when I realized that your brothers had gone on to make that record without you. Bill, you are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT in this world: you have a rare gift that NO ONE ELSE IN THE WORLD POSSESSES: YOU, BILL, ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE BAND WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK SABBATH. This is why i’m urging you to, not only be honest with us, the people who love you and buy your records, but most importantly with yourself and your brothers when it comes to your health. You say you love us, well, we love you more than you could ever possibly know in this lifetime so please take better care of yourself.
